A Successful Surgical Insemination

Holly Von Der Pulvermuhle aka "Ninnja"
	Ninnja, a 4 year, 9 month old female Rottweiler owned by Norton's Kennels was surgically inseminated on May 21, 2009. Insemination was done following a series of several vaginal smears and three progesterone tests done to determine optimal breeding time. Semen had been shipped from Oregon and had been stored since January 2009 until Ninnja was in heat and ready for breeding. Ultrasonic examination on June 26, 2009 confirmed that Ninnja was pregnant, with at least 7 separate heartbeats seen. Ninnja whelped at home with no difficulties on July 21, 2009. She had a litter of 8, with 7 males and 1 female.
